City of Pembroke
Infrastructure Management System

Hunter GIS is pleased to announce that it has been retained together with Jp2g Consultants to assist the City of Pembroke in implementing a web-based Infrastructure Management System (IMS). The City of Pembroke is located in the Heart of the Ottawa Valley, approximately 150 km northwest of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and has a population of about 14,200. The City has a 110 km road network where it maintains surface and underground infrastructure.

The primary objectives of implementing a web-based IMS include:

  • To provide a database driven infrastructure mapping system integrated with parcel tax assessment solutions;

  • To establish applications, forms and reports that can be used to generate work orders, track on-going maintenance, and assist in infrastructure planning and needs studies; and
  • To provide for information access throughout the multiple City work environments.

Implementation of an automated IMS at City of Pembroke will ensure on-demand access to up-to-date and complete infrastructure information to all City of Pembroke employees, work crews and stakeholders.

Hunter GIS is acting as an Application Solutions Provider (ASP) to City of Pembroke. City of Pembroke data sets are being loaded onto Hunter’s web servers in Mississauga. Key City employees and stakeholders have been provided extranet (password) access to Hunter’s Solutions and City of Pembroke data sets.

Jp2g Consultants are coordinating the conversion of City of Pembroke data sets, including city-wide transportation, and storm, sanitary sewer and water systems. After completion of the data conversion and Solution implementation phases of the work, the City will decide whether to continue to utilize Hunter’s ASP services or to install Technology and Solutions as a component of the City’s Information Technology network.
